Decorating for Christmas is my absolute favorite. I love everything about it; the sparkly colors, the family traditions, the delicious smells of the season...the list goes on. This year I decided to take the "less is more" approach, and really take the time to create a Christmas house that is inviting and cozy yet not cluttered and overly done-up.

Very pretty! Love your fresh greenery swags and tree! Your home is lovely. I have that same Martha Stewart book and get it out every year and thumb through it. This year I used the gingerbread house template. :) Your children are adorable too! :)

Ooh! I agree with the "understated elegant" term to describe your home. Really cozy and restful. I love the snowflake picture frames and the burlap Christmas card board. Perfect! Everything is beautiful (I know...such an original comment. Haha.) Cute kiddos, too! ;)

Wow gracestores...u r right! That is so weird because when I saw that movie years ago, I was obsessed with that cottage....I guess subconsciously, I never forgot that front door. How strange?!?
