Spring Mantle

So, here it is. My Spring mantle 2012.

This dainty hurricane lamp was a gift from my father who received it from his mother. We are told that about 200 of these beautiful fixtures were placed throughout my great grandparents house lighting up their wedding ceremony and reception over 100 years ago.
How romantical?!?

Next up, Chris and Ella's Easter baskets, neon and neutral inspired.
Hope you're all having a great {unfortunately cold} week!

Lovey Day

I know, I know, you're probably SO done with me and Minted, but I just gotta...one last time (I hope). Since Valentines Day is right around the corner, how cute would it be to send out personalized valentines?!
Here are a few of my favorites:

I love ordering cards like this because now people (ya know, like my parents, in laws, and grandparents) have a reason to save their valentines. It's a good way to send your love as well as give everyone a hard copy of a picture that they'll cherish forever.
Speaking of Valentines Day, I decided to host a little Red and Pink party for my two loves next Tuesday. Invites have been sent and decorations are in the making. If you are incredibly obsessed with Pinterest lately (welcome to the club), you'll love these sweet party ideas I found:

Can't wait to get our party on! Are you doing anything special on Valentines?

Valentine's Crafts

Wow, did January blow by or what? I can't believe it's February, which means is time to red and pink this place up!

It's so much fun having little hands to do some Valentines Day projects with. Here are a few creations we've completed so far.

Heart Shaped Valentines

This craft is super simple and super sweet for loved ones who wouldn't mind a little heart in the mail. All I did was use a heart shaped cookie cutter to trace out perfect hearts on brown paper lunch bags. I cut them out, wrote a little note and let my two helpers go to town with glue, sequence, and pom poms.

Homemade Heart Garland

While I was cutting out the hearts for the Valentines cards, I cut some extra. I punched two holes in each heart and strung them through burlap twine. I glued the heart in place to insure stability.

Hung it on the mantle and admired.

Pincone Love

Gather some pinecones from your backyard and spray paint them white. Add a twist and hang them by a red or pink ribbon around your house.

Chalkboard Endearment

Spill your guts out for the whole world to see...okay, well just your company to see.

What are some homemade crafts you do for V Day?

We had a blast celebrating our Ella's 1st birthday. Here are a few snipits of what turning 1 looks like in our house...

And of course, in true Ella style, opening her gifts in nothing but a tutu...
